How many members are there in AWAF?

Over 200.


Where are the members located geographically?

We have members located in 14 different states and three different countries. 


When did AWAF evolve?

AWA, Inc. was formed in September, 2001.  The Foundation, created to administer scholarships, was organized in 2004.  In January, 2006, the 2 organizations merged into Automotive Women's Alliance Foundation, a non-profit 501 (c) 3 association.


What types of companies are represented in the membership?

OEM, Tier One, retail, entrepreneurs, dealerships and consultants.


What are the fees to become a member?

Regular membership, $85.

Gold membership, $150

Student membership, $25


Are there sponsorships available?

Yes, we offer corporate as well as event-specific sponsorships.  Please contact the Corporate Sponsorship committee at 877-393-2923.


What do the members receive as a part of their membership fees?

Discounted rates to attend the quarterly events, access to the membership roster, monthly President’s update, quarterly newsletter, contact with women in the automotive industry at all levels of management, and the opportunity to participate in the leadership of the association.


Why join AWAF?

AWAF gives members the ability to work with and get to know some of the most powerful, influential women in the automotive industry that in normal everyday business one may not have the opportunity to meet.


What types of events does AWAF offer?

AWAF offers quarterly events and networking events.  Our quarterly events feature senior level women who share their experiences, knowledge and direction on pertinent industry subject matter.  Our networking events offer the opportunity to meet, greet and learn from women who have “made it” or are paving the way for others to be in significant automotive industry roles.


How often do you have events?

Winter, spring, summer, fall.  In addition, we hold two smaller networking events during the year. 


How do members become involved in committees?

We are always looking for volunteers to become involved in several committees.  Our Marketing, Events, Membership, Sponsorship and Golf committees welcome any additional members.  Please contact us at 877-393-2923.


How diverse is the AWAF membership?

AWAF does not discriminate and there is a formal application process that is available from the website at www.AWAFoundation.org.  Our members include both females and males from all aspects of the automotive industry including OEMS, Suppliers, Service Providers, Consultants, Retail Outlets, Industry Groups, etc.


What is AWAF’s mission?
AWAF is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to promoting the personal and professional development for the advancement of women in the global automotive industry.

Does AWAF offer scholarships?
